Sandra Rivera – Una incendio en el Western General Hospital esta madrugada, concretamente en el pabellón Royal Victoria, se ha cobrado la vida de una mujer de 75 años por inhalación de humos. Otros 14 pacientes de tercera edad tuvieron que ser evacuados, pero no ha habido más heridos.
El cuerpo de bomberos, Scottish Fire, y el Rescue Service recibieron la llamada automática de la alarma de incendios alrededor de las 2:30am. Aun y la rápida respuesta del personal del hospital, quien siguió a la perfección el protocolo, no pudo salvarse la vida de la paciente.
Police Scotland y el cuerpo de investigación de los bomberos han abierto una investigación para resolver las causas del incendio que, hasta ahora, se desconocen.
Sílvia Fernández – A 75-years-old woman has died from smoke inhalation after a fire started at the Western General Hospital this early morning, in the Royal Victoria pavilion. 14 other elder patients were evacuated from the building, but no one else was injured.
The fire brigade Scottish Fire and the Rescue Service received an automatic fire alarm call round 2:30am. Even with the quick response from the hospital staff, who followed the action protocol perfectly, they couldn’t do anything to safe the patient.
Police Scotland and the firefighters are now investigating the causes of the fire, which are unknown at the moment.
